What's changed since you last looked?
Here we will tell you about changes to the site. In general, we won't list minor changes, corrections, etc., that would be admitting that we got it wrong! The latest changes are listed first.
What is new?
These are this "months" updates...
| 2nd January 2009 | The "About our site" page has been updated to show all the visits that we know about during 2008. During the last month or two the visits from countries around the world have increased yet again, with further countries added to the list. |
| 31st December 2008 | We enter the New Year with the Web Site more or less up to date, thanks mainly to inaction at Setley Pond due to the poor weather. Happy New Year to everyone! |
| 26th December 2008 | Boxing Day, and the Royal Lymington Yacht Club hold their annual event at the pond. |
| 11th December 2008 | The photos promised yesterday (with a few from today) can now be found under "Latest Photos at Setley" on our Photo Galleries page. Today the pond was fully frozen over, so don't expect too much model boat action until the weather gets warmer! However our member's adverts sales continue with another sale today... worth checking them out! |
| 10th December 2008 | What's new? well not a lot really. The pond was almost frozen over on Sunday which rather limitted proceedings. We've a few photos to come but in the meantime here's a new Ruff cartoon. |
| 1st December 2008 | Sales on the members adverts page, and an update on the "about our Site" page showing views from even more countries. Beanie hats and more fleece sizes now available from our "members information (apparel)" web page. |
What was new?
As usual, there were new photos and movies of the model boats at the pond; in addition (month by month)...
| November 2008 | Poor weather meant that Club action at the pond was less than normal. We had a some successful trading on the Members adverts web page and Fleece jackets and Beanie hats with club logo became available. On the 11th the QE 2 arrived in Southampton for the last time. The SRCMBC was there!. |
| October 2008 | Model Boat Weekend at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Frequency Table updates, the Movies start to migrate to YouTube (but still available via this site). Scandal at the pond: wrecks and wreck recovery, and the "Completely Different" page features surfing at Bournemouth. |
| September 2008 | Site Developments: a Google based search facility, a page "About the Site", a "Feedback Form", a "Weather Page", and "Members Adverts". Also photos and movies from the Portsmouth Model Boat Weekend and our first "spin-off" initiative, Alan Bond's Marine Engine Sound Unit on the Technobots Site. |
| August 2008 | Portsmouth Navy Days, Lymington Lifeboat Day, Press Cuttings about early Highcliffe shows, and of course movies (including a rowed Lifeboat), and photos not only at Setley, but also at the Bournemouth Air Festival! |
| July 2008 | The site was "launched" on the 1st July. A report on the Club's 30th Anniversary Day, the Movie Gallery was started and, by the end of the month, the Photo Galleries had been transferred from PhotoBox to the Club site. |
