Stop press! The Club Charity show on 4th September was a great success: see "Recent News" below...

Welcome to our Club web site! Mostly we describe the Scale Section of the Solent Radio Controlled Model Boat Club, however we also have some pages about the Sailing Section and their Model Yacht Racing.

If you've visited before, why not check what has changed since you last looked? Last update: 5th September 2010.

Visitors:

Please explore all of our site! You might like to access the Hints and Tips section, and certainly the Photographs and Movies of our boats in action. There is information about coming to Setley Pond and lots more including Ruff, our alternative to model boats and the Members' Adverts page! We are a friendly club and, if you are feeling brave, you can even see what some of us Look Like!

Lymington Charity Model Boat Exhibition

The club exhibition on the 4th September at the Masonic Hall, Lymington, was in support of the Lymington New Forest Hospital, the RNLI, and Help for Heroes. There are some photographs in our "Latest Events" gallery.

A message to members from the Scale Captain:

"A thank you from myself and the committee for your fantastic response and support for the Lymington Show, it was well worth all the sleepless nights to see such a great exhibition. We had some 104 boats on display and what a display it was, the public comments were all in praise. We have not yet counted the door takings, I will email the result in the week; I do know that both the RNLI and Help for Heroes took over £100 on each of their stands! My special thanks go to all the ladies who manned stalls and the entrance, and to the front gate guys who "pulled in the punters". Overall a fantastic day and we have booked again for next year by Public Demand.
