Welcome to our Club web site! Mostly we describe the Scale Section of the Solent Radio Controlled Model Boat Club, however we also have some pages about the Sailing Section and their Model Yacht Racing.

If you've visited before, why not check what has changed since you last looked? (last update: 1st July 2009)

Visitors:

Please explore all of our site! You might like to access the Hints and Tips section, the Photo Galleries of our boats in action, or our Movie Gallery. There is information about coming to Setley Pond and lots more including Ruff, our alternative to model boats and the Members' Adverts page! We are a friendly club and, if you are feeling brave, you can even see what some of us Look Like!

A reminder that we will be exhibiting at the Calshot Lifeboat Station Open Day on the 12th July, and at the Lymington Lifeboat Open Day on the 2nd August. Due to holidays etc. we will need as many members as possible to exhibit; both days really are good fun with much else going on... please tell Peter Soffe if you are coming along! Recent News (July, 2009)

1st July 2009: This web site is one year old today! "Officiallly" launched on 1st July 2008, the site is constructed using page templates originally written at The National Oceanography Centre in Southampton. Therefore, to celebrate, the "Completely Different" photo gallery features pictures taken by Alan Bond during a tour of the Oceanography Centre. And, believe it or not, last month was our best ever for the numbers of visits to the site... an average of 277 per day! You can get the details from our "About this Site" page.

Movies ...all the movies are now accessed from our SRCMBC Channel on YouTube. The YouTube channel looks something like the picture left (click on it for larger version).

This "Film Camera" icon indicates if a movie is available when you access photo galleries from our "Photo Galleries and Movies" web page. Unfortunately we can't direct you to the specific movie but here is a "Demonstration" of how easy it is to find a movie on the SRCMBC Channel.

A few movies are not on the SRCMBC Channel, these are marked by an filmstrip icon (left). Click on their link to view them in a popup window.
